Eva Ehler is a Danish artist, illustrator and children's book author. She has a background as graphic designer, Reiki healer and SoulFlow guide.
She have a deep interest in fairy tales and what particularly fascinates her is the archetypal language of fairy tales. As she say "Humans have always used stories, myths and fairy tales to teach new generations about our values and ideals. Fairy tales are important because they contain instructions for our psychological development and prepare us to go out and conquer the world so that we can become heroes in our own lives. When children immerse themselves in the adventures, it helps them to recognize who they are and how they fit into the world."
Her deep desire is to give children tools to preserve their imagination and for adults to connect with their inner child.
Working with watercolors, colored pencils, pens, ipad drawing and Photoshop, Eva loves to create fantasy illustrations and characters with a whimsical and narrative touch. Nature, shamanism, SoulFlow, inner experiences and people from her surrondrings mostly influence Eva´s artwork and writing, as well as precious memories from her childhood dealing with difficults parents and how to live in a macical world of her own.
Eva has illustrated children’s books for others and self-published several books and coloring books. When time allows, Eva shares her work at instagram.
Eva lives with her husband and a dog near the beach and forest, close to Aarhus in Denmark. Together they have two kids, a bloy and a girl.one has flown from the nest and the other is just about to fly away.
